A Bootcamp with a difference! An affordable flexible bootcamp co-designed and co-delivered with Industry. Many bootcamps lack accessibility and they can be expensive. This unique course is split in to two parts, the frist part is completely FREE, you can build up your skills in your own time and find out if coding is for you.
You can then join the 7 weeek bootcamp, which includes, an industry mentor, a mock interview with feedback, conducted by our industry partners 2iTesting, a netowrking event to build up your linkedIN connections, and career skills workshops to work on your CV, interveiw technique presentation skills and more.

Flexible - We offer a free stater course at your own pace, allowing you to find the right balance between learning and working. This approach keeps the cost of the course down as well as makes it more manageable for most applicants who are working part-time or shift work in industries other than tech.
Professional - The free courses make use of top-quality learning resources you would otherwise need to pay for. Build a portfolio as you work through the course which will give you what you need to apply for a job or for the bootcamp. The 7 week bootcamp is much more hands on, with 18 hours per week of online face to face teaching from lecturers at Edinburgh College and Engineers from 2iTesting.
Fast - It’s shorter than most other bootcamps at just 7 weeks making it fast to reskill.
Supportive - Throughout the bootcamp ,you work in teams and have the ability to fully interact with the lecturers delivering the course; getting your questions answered and getting the support you need to build your portfolio, prepare for interview and develop your career ready skills.
The course covers HTML, CSS, Web Development, java Script, Python and SQL. On completion of this course, you will have a better understanding of these technologies and have built a portfolio for interview or for entry to the Bootcamp.
A tutor is provided for guidance, but no classes take place on this course, it is open learning. The estimate is 6 -12 weeks to complete it, working at 18 hours per week, but of course, you can work at whatever pace you have time for.

This certificate in Data Science is delivered open learning to fit around your life and is completely free to study if you are a resident in Scotland and have been for at least 3 years
Most applicants will be eligible for support, if you have lived in the UK for more than 3 years, the couse will be £500 or free depending on which course you choose. There are other additonal criteria for those living in the south east region of Scotland, who can have a fully funded place: To help improve equality and diversity in the tech sector, any resulting courses will be available free of charge for learners who earn less than £24,000 per year, are not already in training and belong to one of the following groups: Women People with a disability People from a minority ethnic background Neurodivergent individuals
If you are eligible you will NOT be required to pay any course fees.
If you are not eligible for funding but you have studied a computing course at Edinburgh college previously then contact us or let us know during the application process we will investigate any funding support options for you.
If you don’t fit the funding criteria but believe you will financially struggle to afford the course, then please give as much detail as you can when you contact us, and we can investigate any options we have or look at instalment options or scholarship places for you.
